What a crazy year 2020 has been so far (and it’s only half way over)! The wedding industry has been hit hard by COVID-19. April through June are usually high volume wedding months here in North Carolina, but this Spring, Every. Single. Wedding. has been rescheduled. Except one!
Dylan and Jordan did not let COVID keep them from getting married, haha! This wedding was extra special for us to film because, not only were we Dylan and Jordan’s videographers, Brandon was also the Best Man and brother of the groom!
Dylan and Jordan met a few years ago through the CrossWave ministry team that they were both on staff with. Dylan was put in charge of getting all the phone numbers from the new staff people…and he was sure to get Jordan’s! Their relationship grew, and they eventually began dating long-distance while Jordan was still in college at Appalachian State University. There were a lot of texts, phone calls, and hours of driving between Boone and Raleigh on the weekends.
Dylan and Jordan have a strong relationship, and that was proven when Dylan was unexpectedly taken to the hospital last year and diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS). He was in the hospital for months, and Jordan drove all the way to Raleigh every weekend she could to be by his side. That season of their relationship bonded their hearts together even more, and it was touching to witness!
Life truly is too short not to spend it with the one you love the most! Even though COVID threw their wedding plans for a loop, Dylan and Jordan ultimately decided to still get married on their original wedding date.
It was a small, beautiful wedding at Penny Road Church of the Nazarene. Their excitement and love were overflowing, and their personal vows had everyone in tears (they were SO GOOD)! I might add that the toasts were also awesome (I think Brandon and I did a pretty good job, lol). The strength and power of their love and affection for each other was obvious to everyone.
Even though they had to cut their guest list, Dylan and Jordan still invited everyone to come send them off in the parking lot, and they drove away through a parade of honking cars!
It may not have been what they originally dreamed their wedding would be, but I know for a fact they don’t regret doing it! We are so thrilled to finally share their wedding film with y’all!
