Will and Christian have known each other for a long time! They both grew up in the Elizabethtown // White Lake area of North Carolina about 15min apart, and have known each other since when they were kids. Christian was friends with Will’s younger brother, so although she knew Will, she didn’t truly get to know him until her senior year of High School when they started officially dating. After five years of dating Will took Christian to the top of Cape Lookout Lighthouse in the Outer Banks with their friends and family, and got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!
Just shy of a year later, they tied the knot at the beautiful coastal property of The White Oak in Morehead City, North Carolina! They had the biggest wedding party of any wedding we’ve ever done with 15-16 bridesmaids and groomsmen each! When we arrived the house was full of girls hustling and bustling to get their makeup and hair done, while the guys were taking their time and relaxing at the hotel across the street. The excitement for the day could be felt wherever you went!
Once everyone was dressed and ready to go, Christian and Will exchanged letters to one another! We love this so much when couples take the time to write down their feelings for each other and for the wedding day, and you can hear them in their video! Then Christian did a first look first with her bridesmaids and then her dad! It was an incredibly sweet time, and Christian gave her dad a gift of childhood photo of hers painted on a canvas just for him! After everyone was done wiping the tears out of their eyes, it was time for them to hide away for little while as the guests arrived for the ceremony!
The ceremony was held on the waterfront overlooking the sound while Rev. David Holloway lead Will and Christian in their vows to one another, as their family and friends looked on in support! Being pronounced husband and wife, they kissed and exited with giant smiles on their faces! It was time to celebrate their marriage!
Sweet first dances followed by dinner proceeded an incredibly lively party thrown by the band The After Party Experience! They had the crowd on their feet all night dancing and singing! We’ve never thought we’d see a full on concert at a wedding, but they put on quite a show! Everyone had an incredible time, and Will and Christian left to a sparkler exit with their guests cheering and celebrating the newlyweds as they left in a beautiful vintage car! Congratulations to Christian and Will! We wish you both many Happy Anniversaries and lifetime of joy in the many years to come!
