The Bradford Wedding Videography | New Hill, North Carolina | Elliot & Emily

September 5, 2018

Elliot and Emily met at Natty Greene’s in downtown Raleigh while out separately with a few friends for Thursday night Pint Night. Elliot and his friends were coming from a concert, and Emily and her friends were coming from a Kappa Delta event. Acting on the suggestion of a random stranger, the two groups started talking. This led into an hour or so of Emily and Elliot talking and getting to know one another. She found out Elliot had just moved back to Raleigh, and he learned that Emily was still in school and that they lived pretty close to one another. At the end of the night, Elliot asked Emily for her phone number and suggested they grab something to eat together soon. She giddily gave him her number and hoped something would come from it.

The following Monday after meeting, Elliot picked Emily up, and they went on their first date to Moe’s in Cameron Village. They spent several hours talking and learning all about each other. Finally, Elliot asked Emily if she needed to get back for class, and she proceeded to tell him she had already missed her whole class because she didn’t want to leave earlier! This was followed by several other dates, and all of Emily’s friends were getting annoyed that she kept calling Elliot “the guy I’m hanging out with” and not her boyfriend. They became official on Emily’s 22nd birthday and have been inseparable ever since!

After about five and a half years of dating, Elliot proposed to Emily while on a trip to Chicago for Labor Day weekend. One day, Emily and Elliot headed toward the beach to find a spot to sit and figure out what they are going to do for the rest of the day while eating their Garrett’s Popcorn. They found a ledge to sit on that had a beautiful view of the city surrounded by the water. When they stood up to go for a walk, Elliot stopped Emily and said he had something important to ask her. Immediately, Emily knew what he was doing and was in complete shock. She could tell he was nervous and after saying a lot of sweet things, he got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him. She said “Yes,” of course!

Emily and Elliot’s wedding was a beautiful mix of elegance and fun! The Bradford was an incredibly gorgeous venue, and it was a dream for us to shoot a wedding there! They made their vows to each other outside under the arbor, and as the reception started, so did the hardcore celebrating! First of all, Emily and Elliot learned a choreographed dance to the song Aquaman by Walk the Moon (which is one of my favorite songs!), so their first dance was stinking adorable! After that, the dance floor wasn’t empty the entire night. Emily and Elliot’s guests had such a blast dancing the night away. We’ve never seen a more lively reception! Of course, that means we had tons of fun editing all the dance footage for this wedding!

We are so happy for Emily and Elliot, and we hope their marriage continues in the same spirit of fun and joy that it started with. We’re so excited to finally share the final film! If you love Elliot and Emily’s wedding film, and want to talk to us about telling your love story, then head to our contact page and shoot us an email! We’d love to work with you!
